Divisions of DNP Group
Today, DNP has approximately 35,500 employees and is the world's largest corporate group with comprehensive printing operations around the world. There are 7 divisions in The Dai Nippon Printing Group offering printing services around the world for a variety of industries.

Publication Division

DNP's Publication's Division maintains a close relationship to the world of publishing through its printing of books and magazines while developing new fonts and new printing technologies.

Commercial Printing Division

DNP's Commercial Printing Division offers a variety of marketing and communication solutions through the designing and printing of catalogs, calendars, posters, point-of-purchase displays, and other printed media. DNP's commercial printing division also produces promotional videos, other visual media, and exterior/interior building design and event promotions.

Business Forms Division

DNP's Business Forms Division produces bankcards, bank passbooks, and other finance-related business documents as well as developing integrated circuit (IC) cards-for greater security and larger capacities to write and store information, holograms and other special technologies to ensure the secure use of sensitive information and make them more difficult to forge.

Packaging Division

DNP develops and manufactures a wide variety of packaging materials, including paper products, plastic bottles, flexible packaging, laminated tubes, as well as packaging for medical and industrial materials.

Decorative Materials Division

DNP produces a wide range of products for greater comfort, such as interior materials for walls, ceilings and floors; doors, closets and other storage areas; decorative water-resistant materials for bath and kitchen units; siding panels and other outside building materials; surface materials of electrical home appliances; and numerous materials used in the interiors of cars and trains.

Electronic Components Division

DNP produces an array of core electronic components making the most of our applications technology and derivations of printing technology. In the field of semiconductors, we produce photomasks, and DNP was the first company in Japan to successfully develop color television shadowmasks. DNP also produces market-leading, high-definition shadowmasks for computer monitors; color filters for liquid crystal displays, car navigation systems, and large projection television screens.

Information Media Supply (IMS) Division

DNP produces thermal transfer ribbons for simple monochrome printing and Dye-sublimation for full-color printing. Our information media supplies are widely acclaimed for their outstanding quality. In demand by domestic as well as overseas manufacturers, these products command a significant global market share. In addition to TTRs and Dye-Sublimation ribbons, DNP designs, develops and markets printing systems for ID cards, photo ID cards, and photo-stickers using various printing materials. DNP's IMS Division's newest edition is the development of a new technology for the production of electrodes used in small lithium-ion rechargeable batteries.
