DNP Announces Partner Protect Program For VAR Channel
Concord, NC. - August 29, 2006 - DNP IMS America Corp. (DNP) is offering a new program for VARs and Resellers to secure their thermal transfer ribbon (TTR) business. DNP's Partner Protect program adds an additional level of security for VARs actively reselling DNP's thermal transfer ribbons. This new program offers additional support to existing DNP VARs trying to combat channel conflict created when competing TTR manufacturers misuse their VAR's databases.
This program was developed in response to recent changes in the marketplace that challenge the price structure and distribution of TTR via the VAR channel. "We are aware of growing concerns from our customers about certain TTR manufacturers creating sales and marketing strategies that are counter-productive to the vitality and longevity of the VAR channel," states Keigo Hayakawa, President of DNP. "This prompted the launch of our Partner Protect program."
"We are the first thermal transfer ribbon manufacturer to officially offer such a program," continues Hayakawa. "We feel this shows our strong commitment to the VAR channel and our willingness to help protect and grow our VAR's business. It is important for our VARs to feel more like partners and to feel their customer databases are secure."
The program offers training and support from DNP to educate VARs on how to combat channel conflict and offers added measures a VAR should take to ensure their customer databases are safe from predatory vendors. "Our sales staff have over seven years experience each in the AIDC industry," explains Hayakawa. "Each account representative knows the TTR business intimately and is available to assist any VAR as they take the steps necessary to protect their place in the distribution channel."

DNP Achieves Record Sales in First Quarter of 2006
Concord, NC. - April 21, 2006 - DNP IMS America Corp. (DNP) is pleased to report another record quarter in barcode sales. Sales were up year on year for the first quarter of 2006. The month of March ended by setting another record. March sales were the highest in the company's ten-year history.
"It's becoming apparent," states Senior VP of Sales & Marketing, Brett Cameron, "that the US economy is improving. What I am most pleased to report is the strong sales coming from the Reseller channel. Business is improving for the Reseller and it shows with much of our growth in Q1 coming from our VAR base."
This is not the first time DNP has experienced record sales. Over the past eight consecutive years, DNP has experienced record setting year on year barcode revenues. "When you produce a quality product that the Reseller channel can sell profitably," states Cameron, "you build a loyal and solid customer base. I think the number one reason we have been successful, even during market slow-downs and channel compressions, is that we stay focused on one key commitment-customer satisfaction. Our mission is always to please the customer."
In an effort to maintain DNP's growth rate, plans are now in place to increase barcode-slitting capacity at the Concord, NC facility. Additional machinery is currently being researched and plans are in place to increase capacity by fall of 2006.
